The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office announced in a press release that law enforcement executed 12 search warrants targeting multiple motorcycle clubs in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne counties of California on 28FEB24 leading to the discovery of materials used to make explosives, firearms, firearm suppressors, and narcotics. The search warrants were the result of an investigation related to violence between the Hells Angels, Salida Nomads and Mongols.
The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect after discovering multiple improvised explosive devices (IED) on the suspect’s property in plain view during a welfare check on 07MAR24 in Pittsville, Maryland. The IEDs were reportedly strategically placed throughout the property, the Maryland State Fire Marshal was dispatched to the scene to collect explosives samples and confirm the authenticity of the devices. All IEDs encountered were rendered safe and removed.
Stolen Mail, Narcotics, Explosive Device Allegedly Found in Stolen Vehicle; Man Arrested
Three Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a vehicle theft suspect on 06FEB24 in Calaveras County, California leading to the discovery of an IED, drug paraphernalia, suspected stolen mail, and a suspected controlled substance inside of the recovered vehicle. Deputies also determined the suspect had an active felony warrant once his identity was established.
Woman arrested in connection with backpack full of homemade bombs
An abandoned backpack was discovered to contain an IEDs and drug paraphernalia on 26FEB24 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania leading to the arrest of a suspect who allegedly abandoned the backpack. Clearfield Regional Police Officers responded to the abandoned property and discovered the contents after searching the bag, Centre County Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) was dispatched to the scene to assist with the explosives. After arresting the suspect law enforcement discovered numerous items and tools used to manufacture the explosives at the suspect’s residence. The suspect has been charged with possession and manufacturing of weapons of mass destruction, make repairs or sells of weapons, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police detonate second explosive found by magnet fisherman in Needham in past six days
A magnet fisherman has uncovered two military ordnance items on 01MAR24 and 06MAR24 from the Charles River in Needham, Massachusetts. The Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad responded to the two individual calls and disposed of the ordnance items at a nearby dog park.

A suspicious package placed outside of a courthouse on 07MAR24 in Flagler County, Florida led to the St Johns County Bomb Squad being dispatched to the site. The suspicious package was described as wrapped in a box and garbage bag, the bomb squad decided to move the package using a robot to an undisclosed location and reportedly detonated the package only to discover it was a bundle of newspapers. The publisher for the newspaper company was quoted saying, “We need to do this on April 1. That would be perfect.”
3 farmers were killed by a roadway bomb in western Mexico
An IED emplaced on a dirt road detonated killing three farmers on 06MAR24 in Tumbiscatio, Michoacan, Mexico. Based on images from the blast site the farmers vehicle was blown in half and flipped. On 29FEB24, four soldiers were killed by an emplaced victim operated IED blast in Aguililla, Michoacan while inspecting a camp site. There were 556 IEDs discovered in Mexico from August to January in 2023; consisting of emplaced, drone-carried, and car bombs.
